As of May 2026, media salaries in Armenia amounted to 185,000 drams. This is significantly lower than the average salary, which, according to statistical data, is around 300,000 drams. The average salary is the arithmetic mean of workers' remuneration, which does not usually reflect the real picture, as it is influenced by a small number of highly paid individuals.
To get a more realistic and honest picture of average salary, it is also customary to calculate the median salary - the number located in the middle of the scale, which takes into account the number of different levels of remuneration. This means that the net salary of exactly half of the workers in Armenia does not exceed even 137,000 drams.
