US Secretary of State Marco Rubio believes that Venezuela will receive about $100 billion in private investments and new jobs due to the oil deal with Washington:
“For the people of Venezuela, this deal will bring about $100 billion in private investments, thousands of high-paying jobs, and will contribute to the recovery of Venezuela's economy,” Rubio wrote on the social media platform X:
Earlier, US President Donald Trump announced that Washington had signed the largest oil deal in history with Venezuela:
According to Trump, this deal will give the US control over more than 65 billion barrels of confirmed oil reserves in Venezuela “without any cost to American taxpayers.”
