US Secretary of State Marco Rubio sent a congratulatory message on Armenia’s Independence Day, saying Washington is marking the 35th anniversary of the country’s restored independence together with Yerevan.
In his message, Rubio said the United States values the progress Armenia has made on its path toward a more peaceful, prosperous and democratic future.
He said the historic progress achieved by the United States and Armenia over the past year shows what can be accomplished when both sides work toward a shared vision of peace and prosperity.
Rubio also highlighted the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity” (TRIPP) project, saying Washington expects further progress on it. He said this should help strengthen economic connectivity, encourage US investment and unlock new opportunities for Armenia and the wider region.
Rubio added that the United States expects to further deepen the partnership between the two countries in the coming years.
