Larson, who has served 14 terms in Congress, expressed disappointment with the primary results but is ready to continue the fight for Social Security.
The Social Security 2100 Act, which Larson has advocated for years, aims to expand Social Security benefits.
The bill seeks to address funding issues for Social Security that may arise in 2032.
Bronin stated he would be "proud to fight to protect Social Security."
