The State Revenue Committee of Armenia (SRC) has identified a transport company that conducts regular inter- and intra-regional passenger transport, which did not fully reflect its revenue from services in its tax reporting. As a result, for the years 2025-2026, the company underreported its turnover by approximately 4.3 billion drams, leading to about 1.1 billion drams in unpaid taxes to the state budget.
Employees of the relevant SRC department conducted a comprehensive operational-investigative operation, during which they examined data contained in the rough accounting journals of the services provided by the company. During the operations, drivers of the company were also interviewed. The information obtained was compared with the tax calculations for the relevant period submitted by the company to the tax authority and contained in the SRC's information database.
Based on this fact, a report was sent to the Main Directorate for the Investigation of Economic Crimes and Smuggling of the Investigative Committee of Armenia regarding the presence of signs of a crime. An investigation was initiated in accordance with the relevant article of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
According to media reports, the company in question is "MultiTrans," owned by the well-known entrepreneur, philanthropist, and leader of the Prosperous Armenia party, Gagik Tsarukyan.
