The Deputy Minister of Finance of Armenia, Edgar Mkrtchyan, stated that effective corporate governance in state-owned companies is one of the priority reform directions in Armenia.
This was announced during the annual corporate governance conference, which was also attended by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Finance, Aik Arutyunyan, and advisor Lia Ayrapetyan.
During the conference, the Ministry of Finance, the Corporate Governance Center, the Anti-Corruption Commission, and the State Property Management Committee signed a Memorandum of Understanding.
The document confirms the parties' intention to promote the application of best corporate governance principles in state-owned companies in Armenia.
