The government has approved the appointment of a regulator for the gaming sector at its meeting on August 6, which will be responsible for overseeing gaming activities.
Acting Head of the State Revenue Committee Edward Hakobyan reported that changes were made to the law on regulating gaming activities in 2024, including the introduction of new digital control tools.
The company "Random Systems International," which also operates in Georgia, won an open competition and has been designated as the regulatory operator.
The winning company is expected to establish the "Games Analysis and Monitoring System" LLC, with a 15-year contract to be signed with the government.
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that all functions of the gaming sector will be transferred through the platform prepared by this operator, which will enhance the transparency of the sector.
