Detailed information on the TRIPP route in Armenia, its cost and the technical specifications of railway infrastructure has not yet been published, Sputnik Armenia reports, citing the Armenian prime minister’s office.
The government said work in this area has continued.
“Together with the U.S. side, studies, calculations and research on the implementation of TRIPP are currently underway, including on the railway component,” the office of Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan said in its response.
The office stressed that answers to the questions raised could be provided once the study is finalized.
Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio approved in Washington a document on Armenia-U.S. joint work within the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity, or TRIPP, program.
The published document on TRIPP implementation describes the procedure for launching the initiative. The framework does not create, and is not intended to create, legal commitments or obligations for Armenia or the U.S.
