Criminal case related to Karapet Poghosyan has been submitted to court

14 individuals are involved in the case

The prosecutor submitted the materials of the criminal case against 14 individuals accused of bribery to the Anti-Corruption Court on August 14, 2026:

The Office of the Prosecutor General reports that it has been established that K. P., a supporter of the "Strong Armenia" party alliance participating in the National Assembly elections on June 7, 2026, in agreement with other supporters of the alliance, including H. S. and L. V., aimed to give bribes to voters disguised as hidden rewards by involving them in the composition of the electoral commissions in the Gyumri community of the Shirak region.

"Specifically, K. P., H. S., and L. V. offered to participate in the elections on June 7, 2026, and vote for the mentioned alliance, as well as ensure the participation of their relatives in the elections and voting for the same parties by organizing the inclusion of M. G., A. G., K. G., V. N., M. N., G. A., L. H., R. A., S. E., and M. G. in the respective precinct electoral commissions.

M. G., A. G., K. G., V. N., M. N., G. A., L. H., R. A., S. E., and M. G. accepted the offer to give bribes.

On June 6, 2026, L. V., in accordance with the previously reached agreement, transferred 30,000 drams in bribes to each of the mentioned individuals.

During the preliminary investigation, public criminal prosecution was initiated against 14 individuals: 3 individuals under part 2 of Article 219 of the Criminal Code, 9 individuals under part 2 of Article 218 of the Criminal Code, and 2 individuals under part 1 of Article 218 of the Criminal Code.

The prosecutor submitted the materials of the criminal case with the approved indictment to the Anti-Corruption Court on August 14, 2026," the statement said.

Notice. A person accused of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty in accordance with the procedure established by the Criminal Procedure Code by a court ruling that has entered into legal force.
