Iran has called for the removal of trade and transit barriers at the Norduz border checkpoint with Armenia. This was stated by Hossein Foruzan, the Secretary of Iran's Supreme Council of Free and Special Economic Zones, during a visit to the terminal, according to the IRNA agency.
According to him, resolving the issues at the border checkpoint requires constant oversight and clear coordination among all state and regulatory bodies operating at the border. Foruzan urged agencies to avoid fragmented decision-making to simplify trade and transit procedures. He noted that reducing the waiting time for freight transport and enhancing the efficiency of customs services are directly linked to the development of exports.
