Under the agreement reached on Wednesday, Meta will pay this amount over ten years. The company has stated that the new security measures will only apply in the USA, and most of them will remain in effect for ten years:
Meta has noted that adult users will also be able to enable some new tools, such as time limit reminders in the app, but they will not have access to the full package of rules intended for teenagers.
