Financial accounts, bank cards, deposits — these and several other concepts were explained, and Idram and IDBank answered children's financial questions at the 'Hayordi' camp.
Since 2021, the 'Hayordi' camp has annually hosted children of fallen servicemen, with the number reaching 1500.
This year, around 300 children participated in the courses, learning how banks operate and how to make cashless transactions. The classes were marked by unique activity and endless questions: children were curious about what to do if they lost their card or how to handle finding someone else's card by accident. At the end of the course, Idram and IDBank surprised the participants with gifts, and special rewards were given to the most active ones.
Senior instructor at IDBank, Gevorg Darakhchyan, stated that proper financial management is a skill that needs to be developed from a young age.
“It is very important for us to present the material to children with real examples. This helps them better understand how to properly plan their personal budget and save money. In this regard, the Idram Junior app is a wonderful assistant for children; it allows payments to be made under parental supervision and fosters a culture of saving money. The Junius financial competition available in the app makes learning fun and interesting, providing children with the opportunity to receive valuable prizes,” said Gevorg Darakhchyan.
Vache Vartanian, founder of the 'Hayordi' charitable foundation, highly appreciated the collaboration with Idram and IDBank.
“Over the years, we have implemented numerous joint projects with companies. This year, three phases of financial literacy courses were held at the 'Hayordi' camp, attended by around 300 children. As a result, they learned what financial literacy is, how to avoid fraud, and manage their own finances,” emphasized Vache Vartanian.
