In January-July 2026, Armenia was visited by 1.240 million tourists, which is a 7% increase compared to the same period last year.
According to the Tourism Committee, only in July (compared to June), the number of tourists decreased by 8.1% to 198.7 thousand people, while compared to July 2025, the decline was 24.6%.
The lion's share comes from tourists aged 35-44 (25%), followed by tourists aged 25-34 and 45-54 (19% each), 55-64 (13%), and others.
Traditionally, citizens of the Russian Federation (40%), Georgia (15%), Iran (8%), as well as China, Germany, and the USA (2% each), Ukraine (1.5%), France (1.3%), Italy, and India (1% each) prefer to vacation in Armenia.
