In the first half of 2026, a total of 10,561 residence permits were granted to foreigners in Armenia, marking a 59% increase compared to the same period in 2025.
The Migration and Citizenship Service reported that 8,181 individuals received temporary residence permits, predominantly from Russia, India, and Iran.
Among those applying for temporary residence permits based on employment, the leading nationalities were from Vietnam, Iran, China, and India.
A total of 2,085 individuals received permanent residence permits, with 1,233 being citizens of Russia.
This data indicates that a significant portion of the foreigners granted residence permits are Russian citizens.
