RA Deputy FM briefs U.S. think tanks on Armenia’s priorities

Vahan Kostanyan met with leading U.S. think tank representatives

Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister Vahan Kostanyan, who is in Washington on a working visit, met with representatives of leading U.S. think tanks and presented the key priorities of Armenia’s foreign policy.

He addressed prospects for developing the Armenia-U.S. Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and presented Armenia’s positions on regional and international developments.

Participants were also briefed on efforts aimed at strengthening peace and stability in the region. In particular, Kostanyan addressed progress in implementing the bilateral and trilateral agreements reached within the framework of the Peace Summit held in Washington on Aug. 8, 2025, including work aimed at developing regional connectivity and economic cooperation.

The meeting continued in a question-and-answer format, during which participants discussed a broad range of issues of interest to them.

On Aug. 8, the U.S., Armenia and Azerbaijan issued a joint statement marking the first anniversary of the Peace Summit held at the White House on Aug. 8, 2025. The statement noted that the joint declaration, with support from the United States, provided Armenia and Azerbaijan with a clear roadmap for consolidating peace, achieving prosperity and deepening partnership.
