According to the Central Bank of Armenia, as of the end of June 2026, Armenian commercial banks had provided a total of 8,788,386 million drams in loans to residents, of which 6,005,733 million were in drams and the remaining 2,782,654 million were in foreign currency. Compared to the comparable figure for 2025, this represents a growth of 26.8%.
The distribution by sectors is as follows:
In the industrial sector, loans amounting to 747,292 million drams were provided, of which 256,388 million were in drams and the remaining 490,904 million were in foreign currency.
In the agricultural sector, loans amounting to 450,790 million drams were provided, of which 370,154 million were in drams and the remaining 80,637 million were in foreign currency.
In the construction sector, loans amounting to 952,045 million drams were provided, of which 350,892 million were in drams and the remaining 601,154 million were in foreign currency.
In the transport and communication sector, loans amounting to 286,100 million drams were provided, of which 55,853 million were in drams and the remaining 230,247 million were in foreign currency.
In the financial and insurance sector, loans amounting to 869,913 million drams were provided, of which 748,274 million were in drams and the remaining 121,638 million were in foreign currency.
In the trade sector, loans amounting to 772,236 million drams were provided, of which 304,132 million were in drams and the remaining 468,104 million were in foreign currency.
In the service sector, loans amounting to 911,451 million drams were provided, of which 279,235 million were in drams and the remaining 632,216 million were in foreign currency.
Consumer loans amounted to 2,011,296 million drams, of which 1,934,398 million were in drams and the remaining 76,898 million were in foreign currency.
Mortgage loans amounted to 1,787,263 million drams, of which 1,706,407 million were in drams and the remaining 80,856 million were in foreign currency.
