The company also plans to build a network of at least 30 diagnostic centers across Armenia.

HELIX Armenia’s new laboratory complex has been operating in Yerevan for more than 10 days. Its official opening brought together representatives of state institutions, the medical and scientific community, business partners, and executives of the Helix international medical laboratory who traveled to Armenia for the launch.

The 850-square-meter facility is equipped with instruments and reagents from leading global manufacturers. One of its main technological features is Armenia’s first fully automated laboratory line, which connects analyzers within a single system and is designed to improve both the speed and accuracy of testing.

The complex has a daily capacity of more than 20,000 tests. Helix’s catalog includes more than 3,600 laboratory tests, ranging from routine analyses to advanced genetic, histological and immunohistochemical examinations. These also include tests aimed at detecting oncological and other socially significant diseases.

According to the company, total planned investment for the project in Armenia exceeds 2.5 billion drams. The program is expected to create more than 200 jobs, including more than 100 positions for medical staff.

HELIX Armenia says its plans extend beyond the Yerevan complex. The company intends to build a network of at least 30 diagnostic centers in Armenia, with a substantial share located in the regions. These centers are expected to offer not only laboratory testing, but also doctor consultations, ultrasound scans, ECG services and other examinations. The Yerevan site is Helix’s ninth technology platform and its third in CIS countries.
