Extensive Renovation Works Carried Out at the Central Warehouse of HEC

Renovation works will enhance the reliability of the energy system

HEC reports that extensive renovation works have been carried out at the central warehouse of HEC over the past year. Asphalt paving work covering approximately 300 square meters has been completed, and metal covers have been installed over an area of about 1060 square meters to ensure safer storage of equipment and materials.

As part of the 2026 investment program (with a budget of 46.7 billion AMD), equipment for modernizing energy infrastructure is already at the central warehouse. Currently, the warehouse contains around 600 power transformers, approximately 50,000 meters of high and low voltage wires, and about 500 high and low voltage electrical cells.

Thanks to existing supplies and new deliveries, plans are in place to upgrade around 30 substations across the country, construct over 500 km of overhead lines, and 90 km of cable lines, among other projects. These works will significantly reduce the number of accidents in HEC's distribution network and greatly improve the quality of supplied electricity.

Currently, equipment worth approximately 18 billion 515 million AMD is recorded at the central warehouse, and an additional supply of materials and equipment worth 13.5 billion AMD is planned in the near future. Ensuring proper uniforms for employees is also a focus area. The uniforms have been updated and will undergo special examination before being issued to employees.

These changes are significant not only for having a more organized warehouse space but also for a more systematic material and technical preparedness, which will contribute to the modernization of energy infrastructure, proper execution of emergency recovery works, and enhancement of the reliability of the energy system.
