The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission has found that three products under the brand name "AKZ" labeled "ARMENIAN COGNAC" do not meet the requirements of GOST R 59570-2023 based on several physicochemical indicators:
- "ARMENIAN COGNAC URARTU" 3 years, 0.5 L, 40%
- "ARMENIAN COGNAC URARTU" 15 years, 0.5 L, 40%
- "ARMENIAN COGNAC SARGIS" 5 years, 0.5 L, 40%
Laboratory tests confirmed that the mentioned products contained non-grape-derived alcohol. The behavior of the producer was classified as violating consumer rights, including unfair trading practices:
The commission decided to halt the sale of these products and impose a fine.
