According to the data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia, in January-June 2026, the volume of Armenian brandy production reached 7,005.3 thousand liters (100% alcohol). Compared to the comparable figure for 2025 (6,395.9 thousand liters), production volumes increased by 9.5%.
It is noteworthy that in 2025, 14,396.9 thousand liters (100% alcohol) of brandy were produced, which is a decrease of 27.4% compared to the previous year. In 2024, 19,818.5 thousand liters (100% alcohol) of brandy were produced, which is an increase of 2.5% compared to the previous year. In 2023, 19,342.7 thousand liters (100% alcohol) of brandy were produced in Armenia, which is 16.98% less than the previous year. In 2022, 23,298.4 thousand liters (100% alcohol) of brandy were produced in Armenia (the calculation unit for production volumes changed, hence no comparison with the previous year is made). In 2021, 46,696.3 thousand liters of brandy were produced in Armenia, which is an increase of 19.2% over the previous year.
In 2020, brandy production decreased by 9.9% to 39,191.0 thousand liters, in 2019 production increased by 41.5% to 43,505.7 thousand liters, in 2018 production increased by 2.5% to 30,751.9 thousand liters, in 2017 production increased by 39.4% to 30,010.6 thousand liters, and in 2016 production volumes increased by 27% to 21,529.2 thousand liters. In 2015, there was a decrease of 9.4%, totaling 16.9 million liters. In 2014, the decline was 8%, with a recorded figure of 18.7 million liters.
From 2009 to 2013, the brandy production sector experienced continuous growth: in 2013, about 20.2 million liters of brandy were produced in Armenia, in 2012 - 18.5 million liters. In 2011, 15.3 million liters were produced, in 2010 - 12.6 million liters, and in 2009 - 9.8 million liters. In the crisis year of 2008, 15.9 million liters of brandy were produced in our country.
