In Armenia, the growth of economic activity accelerated to 7.9% year-on-year in the first half of 2026 (up from 6.3% in the same period of 2025). The industrial sector, which has emerged from decline, showed a growth of 10.8%, while the construction sector increased by 24.5%.
However, external trade is still in decline, although it is less significant compared to the substantial drop last year.
According to statistics, Armenia's external trade turnover in the first half of the year amounted to 3.6 trillion drams ($9.6 billion), which is a 0.1% decrease compared to last year.
Exports totaled 1.3 trillion drams ($3.4 billion), while imports reached 2.3 trillion drams ($6.1 billion).
