Armenia to Implement Unified Electronic System for Construction Quality Control

Digitalization of processes in construction and improvement of control

Armenia plans to implement a unified electronic system that will bring together participants in the construction and technical quality control process. Institutional reform issues in this area were discussed at a meeting chaired by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.

Chairman of the Committee on Urban Development Egiazar Vardanyan presented plans for the digitalization of technical quality control in construction and modernization of regulatory frameworks.

As a result of the reforms, it is expected that all participants in the process will be united in a single electronic system. This will allow for online approvals, real-time tracking of work progress, and provide regulatory authorities with online access to necessary information.

The implementation of the system is expected to increase the transparency and controllability of construction processes and improve construction quality.

The reforms also include improvements in project expertise, the introduction of a new pricing policy, ranking of construction companies and developers, encouragement of the application of international building certification systems, and the development of the management and operation institute for apartment buildings.

During the meeting, issues of implementation, scaling, operation, and maintenance of the construction project management and technical control system were discussed.

Pashinyan emphasized the need to improve construction quality and strengthen control, noting the importance of checking compliance with standards at all stages. The Prime Minister instructed to start the necessary steps for the implementation of the system.
