A unified database of tourism service providers will be created in Armenia. This decision was made during the Armenian government's meeting on August 13. The project's justification states that its adoption is necessary to enhance the efficiency of state management in the tourism sector, ensure data integrity, and digitize regulatory processes.
To fully implement the notification system for tourism service providers, it is necessary to approve the regulations for the unified database, which will ensure centralized collection, storage, and processing of information about the sector.
Currently, data on tourism service providers is collected from various sources and not consolidated on a single information platform, making it difficult for state bodies to monitor, analyze, and develop policies regarding the sector.
The current situation also limits the effectiveness of data exchange between state bodies. The implementation of the database will facilitate effective information exchange between state bodies, simplify administrative work, and reduce bureaucratic processes.
