In Armenia, electricity production in the first half of 2026 increased by 10%, reaching 5,163.7 million kWh. In June, electricity production grew by 1.6% to 782.8 million kWh. This is according to data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia. Specifically, in the first half of 2026 compared to the same period in 2025, thermal power plants (TPPs) increased electricity production by 43.5% to 2,031.9 million kWh, while hydropower plants (HPPs) grew by 3.4% to 1,346 million kWh. Meanwhile, the Armenian Nuclear Power Plant (ANPP) reduced its production by 23.8% to 939.5 million kWh. Solar power plants also increased their electricity production by 13.8% year-on-year, providing a volume of 845.7 million kWh, while wind stations grew by 44.8% year-on-year to 0.6 million kWh.
