A unique greenhouse complex for growing tomatoes, equipped with artificial intelligence, robotics, and cutting-edge solutions, has officially opened in the village of Nor Edesia in the Aragatsotn region:
The greenhouse complex features a smart system that scans the entire greenhouse, collecting and analyzing data on the quantity, ripeness, condition of the tomatoes, and even the presence of pests:
In this state-of-the-art greenhouse, tomatoes are grown in a clean environment made from coconut fibers, with all necessary nutrients supplied to the plants through a drip irrigation system:
Currently, the greenhouse produces about 18-20 tons of harvest daily, which is exported every day to various countries, including Latvia, Bulgaria, Romania, and the United Arab Emirates:
In the near future, production volume is expected to increase to around 40 tons per day:
“There were many questions during the financing of this project, but trust played a significant role here, and we confidently went down the path of financing the project. The project, which is now ready, was initially just an idea written on paper; now we have a reason to be proud that we financed such good work,” said Hakob Andreasian, the CEO of Acba Bank:
“The operations in this greenhouse are managed by artificial intelligence, and we also have a monitoring robot that scans the entire greenhouse and the plants. Currently, we can know how many kilograms of tomatoes we have, their ripeness, whether there are sick plants, and even the robot helps us understand what pests are present here. Construction of a new greenhouse complex has already begun on a nearby 10-hectare area, and a production area is also planned to be built, where necessary packaging production will be organized:
