A state-of-the-art greenhouse complex named 'Agro Prom' for tomato cultivation has opened in the Aragatsotn region of Armenia, with investments totaling 9.7 billion drams.
The greenhouse is equipped with modern technologies, including AI-based management systems and robotic solutions for controlling and managing the plant growth process.
No chemical agents are used in production, and the greenhouse has GLOBALG.A.P. certification. Dutch seeds resistant to viruses are used for growing tomatoes.
The company is also constructing a new greenhouse for pepper cultivation covering 10 hectares, with an investment of about 9 billion drams.
Future phases plan to establish blueberry plantations and vineyards in adjacent areas.
Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan emphasized the importance of creating such productions for economic development, attracting new investments, and creating jobs.
