Agricultural insurance is becoming active in Armenia, marking the beginning of the program's revival process. As of June 2026, according to the National Agency of Agricultural Insurers (AINA), 9528 contracts have been signed, collecting insurance premiums totaling 798.9 million drams ($2.2 million), of which 56% (446.3 million drams) are from insurance companies, and 44% or 352.5 million drams are subsidized amounts.
The total area of insured land is already 10923 hectares. The main risks include spring frosts, drought, hail, and fire. The activity of agricultural insurance resumed in 2026, leading to a significant increase in indicators.
