According to the government's decision, in 2026, it will be possible to import an additional 5000 electric vehicles duty-free into Armenia.
Out of the allocated quota, a maximum of 4500 electric vehicles can be imported by individuals, as well as individual entrepreneurs and legal entities that do not have a direct dealer or distributor agreement with the car manufacturer.
The remaining 500 electric vehicles can be imported duty-free by those businesses that have a direct dealer-distributor agreement with car manufacturers.
These businesses must also have factory warranty and post-warranty service, documents confirming the obligation to provide software, and closed technical service stations.
