Over 7.6 Thousand Tons of Apricots Exported from Armenia

Export volumes and support for exporters

YEREVAN, July 21. /ARKA/. From June 1 to July 19, 2026, Armenia exported 7,654 tons of apricots (over 380 large trucks), reported the Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan:

“The geography of exports is very wide, however, Armenian apricots are not supplied to Spain or Portugal. Therefore, I suggest opposition media to ‘export’ one truck of apricots to Portugal today and spoil it,” Papoyan wrote on his Facebook page:

The day before, Deputy Minister of Economy Arman Khojoyan stated that Armenia has not yet exported apricots to Spain, commenting on reports that a batch of fruits sent to that country allegedly spoiled on the way:

Earlier, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated that Armenia should prepare for the diversification of apricot and other agricultural product exports to reduce dependence on one market:

Russia had previously restricted the import of all quarantine products originating and dispatched from Armenia, as well as their transit through the Russian Federation to EAEU member states. Against this backdrop, the Armenian authorities expanded support measures for exporters, particularly compensating transportation costs and customs duties:
