The leading article of Armenia's exports is mineral raw materials, which have significantly increased in volume, while the main article of imports is machines and mechanisms that have emerged from stagnation to show double-digit growth. This is evidenced by the data from the Statistical Committee of Armenia for the first half of 2026.
The second, third, and fourth positions in exports are occupied by processed food products, precious metals/stones, and machines and mechanisms, while in imports - land/air/water vehicles, mineral raw materials, and processed food products.
In total, the share of the leading five positions constitutes 82.2% ($2.8 billion) in exports and 63.1% ($3.9 billion) in imports.
Moreover, precious metals/stones continue to significantly decline in both exports and imports, having lost their leading position in imports last year to machines and mechanisms, and now also yielding leadership in exports to mineral raw materials.
