Under a cooperation agreement between Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and international company «OpenAI», public schools in Armenia will gain access to the ChatGPT Edu platform starting from the 2026-2027 academic year, according to a ministry statement.
To access the platform, users will need to sign in to their personal account on my.emis.am and click the OpenAi button. They will then be taken directly to the ChatGPT account assigned to their school.
The ministry said guidelines have been prepared to support the proper use and application of ChatGPT Edu. They are intended for school principals, deputy principals, heads of subject methodology groups and teachers. The platform is presented as a unified educational toolkit and will be available to all public schools.
The guidelines have been endorsed by the National Center for Education Development and Innovation.
According to the ministry, introducing the new AI tool into the learning process is aimed at improving education quality and helping students develop practical skills.
