The decline in dollar transactions was accompanied by an increase in euro and ruble transactions

On Armenia's interbank currency market from August 24 to 28, there was a decline in dollar transactions, while the volume of euro and ruble transactions significantly increased. Specifically, the volume of dollar transactions fell by 56%, while ruble transactions increased by 24%, and euro transactions surged ninefold.

As a result, the weekly volume of ruble transactions exceeded both dollar and euro transactions by 3-2 times. The dram continued to strengthen against the dollar, reaching 363.3 dram/$1, against the euro — 421.8 dram/1 euro, and against the ruble — 4.09 dram/1 ruble.

As of August 28, 2025, the exchange rate of the dram to the dollar was 382.3 dram/$1, to the euro — 443 dram/1 euro, and to the ruble — 4.74 dram/1 ruble, indicating an annual appreciation of the dram.
