Armenian Metallurgical Industry Achieves Double-Digit Growth

The metallurgical sector of Armenia recorded a 28.7% growth

The metallurgical industry of Armenia recorded a 28.7% growth in the first half of 2026, contrasting with an 8% decline in 2025. This growth is primarily driven by an increase in the production of copper and molybdenum concentrates.

Specifically, the production of copper concentrate rose by 31.4%, reaching 172.3 thousand tons, while molybdenum concentrate production increased by 25.7%, totaling 8.886 thousand tons.

However, the production of ferromolybdenum continued to decline, amounting to 731.2 tons, reflecting a 50.7% drop.

Additionally, zinc production reached 6.390 thousand tons, and steel pipe production surged by 45.8%, totaling 16.744.2 thousand tons.

All produced metals are primarily exported to Europe and the USA.
