The Armenian government will allocate 67.456 million drams for the capital repair of the basement of the Probation Service of the Ministry of Justice. This decision was made at the cabinet meeting on August 27.
The justification for the project states that the basement area of about 530 square meters is currently unused due to severely worn-out water supply, drainage, and sewage systems. Frequent breakdowns of these systems, along with the penetration and impact of rainwater from outside, gradually weaken the building's foundation, increasing certain seismic safety risks.
If the planned works are implemented, it will be possible to free up utility and other purpose rooms located on other floors of the Service building and transfer them to the basement, creating approximately 235 square meters of additional usable space.
