Armenia’s agricultural export volumes in 2026 have not shown any major deviation from 2025 levels, Economy Minister Gevorg Papoyan said at a government meeting on September 24 while presenting new support measures for domestic producers approved by the cabinet.
According to Papoyan, agricultural goods exported to foreign markets totaled about $990 million in the same period last year, including August. This year, the figure stands at roughly $943 million, leaving the gap at just 5%.
The minister said this was a solid outcome given the restrictions faced by Armenian exporters. In his view, the relatively stable performance was made possible largely by the diversification of export destinations.
The data presented at the meeting showed that exports to the UAE increased by 46%, while shipments to the EU rose by 75%. Strong growth was also recorded in other destinations. The only market showing a significant decline in supplies was the Eurasian Economic Union.
Papoyan added that, in order to continue the exporter support program, the government is proposing an additional 4.59 billion drams to compensate exporters for August of this year.
