The gross agricultural output of Armenia in the first half of 2026 decreased by 10.2%, contrasting with a 7.3% growth last year. The total volume reached 345.1 billion drams. Excluding forestry and fishing, the agricultural sector shrank by 11.9%, amounting to 310.1 billion drams:
This decline was mainly driven by a 23.4% drop in crop production, compared to a 13.4% increase last year. The harvest of melons decreased by 74.6%, and grains by 70.4%:
Vegetable production saw a smaller decline of 7.6%, while potato production fell by 3.3%:
Meanwhile, the fishing sector maintained growth, although its growth rate slowed from 5.1% to 2.7%:
