The population of Armenia reached 3.104 million as of July 2026, marking a 0.6% increase or 19.5 thousand people compared to the previous year. The population of Yerevan grew by 0.5%, totaling 1.150 million people during the reporting period.
According to statistical data, the urban population at the reporting date stands at 1.984 million, or 64% of the total population, while the rural population exceeds 1.120 million, or 36%. The most densely populated region is Kotayk, with 299.1 thousand residents, followed by Armavir (272.4 thousand) and Ararat (271.7 thousand).
