Armenia's 6.7% economic growth recorded in the first half of the year should not be overestimated. This was stated by economist Agasi Tavadyan at a press conference.
According to him, the economic growth is mainly driven by external sources and the activity of the financial system.
At the same time, the economist drew attention to the serious decline of 15.5% in the agricultural sector, which is of strategic importance for Armenia.
Tavadyan assessed that this indicator creates more serious risks for the economy. He noted that the decline in agriculture has accelerated following Russian restrictions on agricultural product supplies from Armenia to Russia.
