Yerevan, August 26. /ARKA/. The Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission has made a decision on the establishment and distribution of tariff quotas for certain types of meat products and whey for the year 2027:
“In accordance with the Treaty on the Eurasian Economic Union, the EEC establishes tariff quotas for certain categories of agricultural products originating from third countries and imported into the customs territory of the EAEU, taking into account the balances of their consumption and production in the member states, as well as the obligations of countries to the World Trade Organization,” the trade block of the EEC reminded:
For Kazakhstan and Russia, tariff quotas for 2027 are set at levels fixed in the protocols on the accession of states to the WTO. For Armenia, Belarus, and Kyrgyzstan, tariff quotas are determined in volumes not exceeding the difference between consumption and production, taking into account the requests of the parties:
Thus, for beef, such quotas will amount to 8,000 tons for Armenia, 21,000 tons for Kazakhstan, 5,000 tons for Kyrgyzstan, and 570,000 tons for Russia. For pork, quotas will be distributed in the following volumes: 14,000 tons for Armenia, 20,000 tons for Belarus, and 2,000 tons for Kyrgyzstan:
Tariff quotas for meat and poultry by-products will amount to 45,000 tons for Armenia, 10,900 tons for Belarus, 140,000 tons for Kazakhstan, 58,000 tons for Kyrgyzstan, and 364,000 tons for Russia:
The tariff quota for the import of whey is set for Russia at 15,000 tons:
