YEREVAN, August 7. /ARKA/. In 2025, Armenia contributed approximately $319 million in customs duties to the EAEU budget, while the amount distributed to Armenia was around $175 million, said Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan:
"Thus, Armenia contributed significantly more to the Union's general budget than it received, which is a direct confirmation of Armenia's responsible position and good faith in fulfilling its obligations within the EAEU," he said on Friday at a meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in an expanded format in Kyrgyzstan:
Pashinyan also noted that objective economic indicators convincingly demonstrate that Armenia's participation in the EAEU is based on mutual obligations rather than on receiving unilateral advantages:
"According to the results of 2025, imports from EAEU member states amounted to about $5 billion, while the export of Armenian products to the Union's market during the same period was about $3.2 billion. These figures show that the Republic of Armenia is not only a participant in the EAEU common market but also a significant consumer of goods and services produced in the member states of the Union," Pashinyan said:
According to Armstat, Armenia's foreign trade turnover with the EAEU in the first half of 2026 amounted to $2.82 billion, decreasing by 19% compared to the first half of 2025. Exports amounted to $1.32 billion with a decline of 4.2%, while imports were $1.58 billion (a decline of 27.9%).
