On Strengthening Armenia-Diaspora Cooperation and Systematic Response to Historical Information Warfare

The Armenian government needs to take systematic measures

Since 2023, Armenia has begun the phased implementation of new history textbooks, which will continue into 2024-2025. During this same period, we have started to see an increasing international dissemination of one-sided and misleading historical theses about Armenia and the Armenian people by Azerbaijan.

Today, such theses are being spread in various countries in Europe and the USA through conferences, lectures, books, and other events. The recent presentation of the book "Yerevan - My Heart's Homeland" in Stockholm is yet another signal that this work continues into 2026.

This is no longer just a historical issue. It is a matter of information security and the protection of our national identity. Therefore, I expect the Armenian government and relevant state structures to approach this process as a strategic priority and take systematic measures.

At the same time, it is essential to significantly strengthen Armenia-Diaspora cooperation, especially in those countries where such informational processes are taking place.

The Diaspora is ready to take its share of responsibility. We now expect equally clear and systematic actions from the Republic of Armenia.
