Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held a telephone conversation with Lithuanian Prime Minister Mindaugas Sinkevičius, congratulating him on his appointment as prime minister and wishing him success in carrying out his responsibilities.
The Lithuanian prime minister, in turn, congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on his reappointment as prime minister of Armenia. He expressed confidence that joint efforts in the near future would provide new impetus to cooperation between the two countries.
During the conversation, the sides discussed ongoing work to put into practice the joint declaration on the strategic partnership between Armenia and Lithuania. Both sides emphasized the importance of further expanding and deepening ties established across various sectors.
The prime ministers also discussed issues related to the development of relations between Armenia and the European Union.
Earlier, Armenian Security Council Secretary Armen Grigoryan and Lithuanian Foreign Minister Kęstutis Budrys discussed the Armenia-EU cooperation agenda.
