The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, met with the Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, Aidarbek Saparov.
The parties discussed opportunities for expanding cooperation in agriculture, increasing mutual trade turnover, implementing joint investment programs, and exchanging modern agrotechnologies and experiences.
In addition, they focused on cooperation in the areas of efficient use of water resources, irrigation systems, livestock breeding, and processing of agricultural products.
Minister Papoyan pointed out the potential for increasing exports of Armenian agricultural and food products to Kazakhstan, particularly winemaking, fruit and vegetable, and fish products.
According to the data from the Statistical Committee of the RA, the foreign trade turnover between Armenia and Kazakhstan in the first half of 2026 amounted to $48.5 million, exceeding last year's figure by 16.3%.
However, exports decreased by 35.2% to $19.9 million, against a backdrop of a 2.6-fold increase in imports to $28.6 million.
