The decision regarding Armenia's future participation in the CSTO should be made in a reasonable timeframe.
This was stated by CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadikov in an interview with RIA Novosti.
“We proceed from the fact that the decision on the prospects of Armenia's participation in the CSTO should be made in a reasonable timeframe,” Masadikov said.
Earlier, Russia's permanent representative to the CSTO, Viktor Vasiliev, stated that the possible deprivation of Armenia's voting rights in the organization's bodies would require the consent of all member states. According to him, this issue will likely be discussed at the next meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council, which will be held in Moscow on November 11.
