The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, met on August 6 with the regional director of the international brand Subway, Efe Celik, and Armenian investor Levon Hayrapetyan. They discussed the possibilities of Subway's entry into Armenia and the opening of over 60 branches. The investment for each branch will range from $150,000 to $300,000.
Company representatives noted that the implementation of the project could contribute to the creation of new jobs, the development of international franchising culture, the involvement of local suppliers, and the introduction of international standards in the food service sector.
Also present at the meeting were Deputy Minister Lilya Sirakanyan and the director of the Investment Support Center, Gohar Abajyan.
