The Minister of Economy of the Republic of Armenia, Georgy Papoyan, met with the Minister of Agriculture of Russia, Oksana Luta, in Almaty on August 13. They discussed issues related to the development of cooperation in the agro-industrial complex.
They addressed the removal of restrictions on the supply of products by Armenian producers to the territory of Russia and transit through Russia to other countries, as well as the application of additional control measures.
An agreement was reached to enhance cooperation between the Armenian Food Safety Inspection Body and the Russian Rosselkhoznadzor. Minister Papoyan emphasized that constructive dialogue and the search for mutual solutions to existing issues are of great importance for the further development of economic cooperation between the two countries.
The parties exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
