The Minister of Economy of Armenia, Gevorg Papoyan, participated on August 13 in the seventh meeting of the Council on Agro-Industrial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Union held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, where he met with Akbar Fathi, the Deputy Minister of Agricultural Jihad of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the meeting, Papoyan noted that there is significant potential for cooperation between Armenia and Iran in the field of agriculture, particularly in areas such as crop production, animal husbandry, agricultural product processing, and the development of greenhouse facilities.
He emphasized that Armenia is interested in expanding the presence of competitive fruits and vegetables, as well as processed products in the Iranian market.
Papoyan also proposed to consider the possibility of implementing joint investment projects.
