According to the German Ministry of Economics, the German authorities approved a record arms and military equipment export of 13.87 billion euros in the first half of 2026, with Ukraine being the main recipient.
"Preliminary data indicates that export permits for military products worth approximately 13.87 billion euros were granted in the first half of 2026. The main recipient country is Ukraine," the statement on the German Ministry of Economics' website reads.
