In the anti-corruption court today, July 2, 2026, the prosecutor's motions regarding the criminal case against Artem and Aram Khachatryan were granted, and they were taken into custody as a preventive measure. The 200 million dram bail paid by them has become state revenue. This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.
According to the indictment, Artem Khachatryan, being the son of the former head of the State Revenue Committee Gagik Khachatryan, founded the company "Ayunetworks" with his uncle Gurgen Khachatryan, his cousin Aram Khachatryan, and Alexander Esayan, which supplied goods to tax and customs authorities and provided services in the field of information technology. Part of the company's shares was registered in the name of their relative Hayk Khachatryan.
The indictment states that from 2008 to 2016, Gagik Khachatryan, using his official position, instructed officials of the SRC and later of the Ministry of Finance to assist "Ayunetworks" in creating more favorable conditions for participation in procurement processes, providing necessary information, eliminating obstacles, and ensuring the company's participation. According to the investigation, due to these conditions, "Ayunetworks" signed contracts worth a total of 4 billion 426 million drams with the SRC from 2008 to 2020, of which the company was paid more than 4 billion 88 million drams.
According to the indictment, Artem, Gurgen, and Aram Khachatryan, by founding the company and taking advantage of the illegal favorable conditions created by Gagik Khachatryan, facilitated the abuse of official powers. The investigation suggests that as a result, the reputation of state bodies was damaged, the normal functioning of the SRC and the Ministry of Finance was disrupted, and the rights and legal interests of other organizations participating in the tenders were violated.
