Freedom Holding Raises $300 Million in Private Placement

Freedom Holding plans to use the funds for business growth and expansion into international markets

YEREVAN, July 13. /ARKA/. Freedom Holding, owned by billionaire Timur Turlov (ranked No. 585 in Forbes' global billionaire list, with a net worth of $6.8 billion as of July 13 according to Forbes Real-Time Billionaires), has completed a private placement raising $300 million.

Freedom issued 2.37 million shares at a price of $126.35 per share. The placement was conducted outside the USA and was not available to American citizens and companies, the holding's representatives emphasized.

The funds raised will be directed towards further business growth and expansion of the ecosystem into international markets.

Freedom Holding provides financial services in 22 countries, including Kazakhstan, the USA, EU countries, Uzbekistan, and Armenia. In Kazakhstan, the company is developing an ecosystem that includes Freedom Bank, Freedom Broker, insurance companies Freedom Life and Freedom Insurance, as well as lifestyle segments (Arbuz.kz, Freedom Ticketon, Freedom Travel, etc.).

In July, Freedom received permission to acquire Turkish Bank, and in June applied for a banking license in France. In the fall of 2025, Freedom received permission to open a bank in Georgia.

Turlov, a native of Moscow, founded Freedom in 2008 while still a student at the Russian State Technological University named after Tsiolkovsky.
